Confetti and flower petals

Scattering scented flower petals in aisles, on window sills, or anywhere else that you desire provides a subtle effect that is loved at weddings.

Confetti seems like such a trivial aspect to decide upon, but many brides underestimate the full impact confetti makes! As a very special part of the wedding day - it marks the end of the ceremony, and the start of the festivities - confetti should be carefully chosen to ensure things go smoothly at this important transition point.

Every type of confetti has unique characteristics which should be considered beforehand. Some are less susceptible to windy conditions, some are more colourful and some are scented. Some are sticky, some are itchy, some cause pain, and some, well they just get into places that make you very uncomfortable and are impossible to deal with until hours later!

Matching your choice of confetti with your setting, and with your dress, and with your expected weather, is crucial to an even happier occasion.

Of course, confetti must also be stored safely in some kind of container before the moment it is used. This container again must match your setting, it must be pretty and it must be functional. Not that a bride or groom should be paying any attention to it at that stage of the ceremony, but they will if there is some kind of unforeseen problem related to the container chosen!

The placing of the confetti containers should be carefully planned so that they are out of the way until the confetti is required. At that point all your guests will need to get their hands full in a very short space of time and possibly in a very small amount of space too!

Only you can decide for your day if you want to provide your guests with small confetti-filled containers, or place a few large containers in strategic places for them. It is a decision that is completely a matter of personal taste.
