Church DécorThere are so many ways to decorate a church, chapel, cellar, marquee, or any other wedding ceremony venue that I don't even know where to begin! Doors, trees, entrance halls, aisles, seats, window sills, windows, podiums, even organs and of course the pulpit area where all eyes will be focussed on the bride and groom during the wedding ceremony! Some prefer a minimalist approach, while others want to do as much as is possible. We use decorations to enhance the atmosphere provided by the venue, and sometimes the decorations simply integrate with the mood that is already provided, and other times the decorations are used to enliven and colourise to create a more uplifting feeling. For me, it is an awesome feeling when the bride arrives and those doors open creating a sudden gust that causes the petals to rustle down the aisle, the candles flickering about in all directions - every little touch announcing to all present that the one they were waiting for today, has arrived and that the world is a much better place than everyday life sometimes allows us to think. |
